Kalavryta – Souvardo – Lake Tsivlos
This is one of the most famous routes that off-road car enthusiasts love. We start from Kalavryta towards the village of Souvardo. Distance 10 km on an asphalt road, we continue through the village towards Ano Potamia, we now enter a dirt road. Be careful because there are many branches on our right which we do not follow. As we descend the mountain before the village of Ano Potamia we turn right towards Lake Tsivlou, the view is breathtaking.
A high-riding jeep is recommended for this route because the road is not in very good condition. Total route approximately 35 km.
Throughout the entire route, the beauty of Nature compensates us and confirms our choice for our excursions in the surrounding area. Don't forget your camera.
Kalavryta – Ski Center – Aristarchos Telescope
This route also starts in the town of Kalavryta and ends at the Kalavryta ski resort. A few meters before the ski resort parking lot, we turn right onto the dirt road and are parallel to the first ski lift.
We follow the road, which is in very good condition, leading behind the ski center peripherally from Avgos peak. We come across the bird's fountain and after a few meters we will come across a signpost with the destination of the Aristarchos telescope.
The telescope is located on the highest peak of the mountain, offering a unique view to the visitor.
