The ski center of Kalavrita is located on the north side of Helmos in a dry location just 15 km from Kalavrita.
It started its operation in 1988 and helped the most for the development of the area. The visitors to Kalavryta exceed 100,000 every year and the majority of them are young and skiers of all levels. It is the closest ski resort to Athens and welcomes skiers and non-skiers with one boat.
The landscapes of Helmos are enchanting and the goddess in the Corinthian gulf unique.
It has ample parking spaces, a first aid station, two chalets, an equipment rental shop and a learning school. The cafe of the chalet on the nights when there is night skiing turns into a bar and rings red.
At 1850 meters there is a cafe, a restaurant, a ski shop and a doctor's office.
There are a total of seven lifts and twelve pistes covering all levels of difficulty, with a total length of 20 km. The roads are cleared of snow 24 hours a day and access to it from Kalavryta is always easy and particularly beautiful, through the fir forest.
